12th March : Back together again in Acorn Class!
It has been an absolute joy to have all our little Acorns back in school this week and we have been so proud of every single one of them. The most recent lockdown represents a huge fraction of a little person’s lifetime so far and for most of the class this has meant time away from friends with very limited chance to socialise, especially with children their own age, and to do many of the things which are so important for developing little minds.
And so it has been both a surprise and a delight to watch how well our little people have been conducting themselves. We have had no tears, even from those who have started in preschool for the first time this week. The children have come into class confidently and happily and have been enjoying one another’s company and settling back into the routines which, for most of them, had become so familiar three months ago. We couldn’t possibly single out any individual for a Star of the Week this week as every one of the children has been a little star in their own way.
We have had lots of fun this week playing and learning together. There is very little distinction between the two in our class and if you looked through the class window at any time of the day you would see happy little people busy playing and exploring, creating and thinking critically and actively learning together as you can see in the photos of our class this week.
