26th June – A week of dragons in the Acorn reception bubble
The big excitement of this week was the discovery of an enormous nest at forest school! Coloured feathers, charred logs, burnt toast and tracks through the undergrowth all added to the mystery and excitement as we put our best detective skills to use to find out what has been visiting the site and then on Friday we found a golden egg! Meanwhile, back at school we have been busy making a time capsule to bury in the school grounds. We have included lots of information about ourselves as we are now – which included painting our hand and footprints. We hope that when we are very big and in Year 5 , just before we leave Ashton School , we will be able to find and dig up our time capsule and see how things have changed!
