This week most of our reception children have been coming to school full time and , together with many of our pre-schoolers, we have been learning about the lunchtime routine in school (and getting very excited about our packed lunches!)
We are so proud of all of the children in Acorn Class.
Welcome to the new school year !
We have been both delighted and amazed by the way our little Acorn people have come into school so happily this week and huge thanks must go to all parents for the work that has gone in to preparing your children for, what is for them, a huge step.
And so we have come to the final day of this very unusual school year.
This week the children from both Acorn bubbles and the pirate bubble met on the field for a mini sports day .
We have done lots of seed collecting this week and have learned about how plants are pollinated and different ways in which seeds can be dispersed.
Following on from last week’s mystery of the huge nest with the golden egg that we found at forest school, the children suggested that this might be linked to the chicken that Jack (of the beanstalk fame) stole from the giant.
Look what fun we have had this week with Acorn preschool and reception children investigating the windy weather and flying carrier bag kites.
The big excitement of this week was the discovery of an enormous nest at forest school!
This week has been dragon week!
This week our home and school learners have followed a theme of giants and have made beanstalks and retold many giant stories.
