South American Week

Along with many others, I was lucky enough to be at the South American themed Family Assembly this Friday afternoon. An amazing time had by audience & participants alike! I think we all left appreciating the ideas, planning and hard work the staff put in to deliver a wonderful full week of new experiences and lots of learning for the children. I especially liked the whole school involvement and working as year groups. Everyone looked to be having real fun and are surely going to remember this week for a very long time. “Are you ready? We were born ready! RESPECT”. Respect Ashton; Thankyou.

WOW!!! What a super afternoon!
I joined parents and friends who were invited to watch, enjoy and participate in South American crafts, dancing and drumming activities, that had taken place in school this week. The children showed carnival masks that they had designed and made, willow structures of butterflies ornately decorated with tissue, glitter etc. Latin american dancing and amazing drumming sessions professionally lead by Nick and Karen, visitors from Birmingham. Everyone was invited to join in with the whole school finale! These activities were part of the curriculum to widen children’s horizons and develop an awareness of our multicultural world.
Well done everyone.
