Shaping Bright Futures Together

Clean up!

The 'Clean Up' book ties in very well with our 30 Days Wild aims to care and look after the world around us. We have used magnifying glasses and 2 way magnifiers to look at different things on the playing field.  We went on a litter pick around the school grounds, and also used the litter pickers in maths, to pick up socks and to count them.  In phonics, we have been writing a list of items to put in our class suitcase to take into the hall in the afternoon, where it is a little cooler.  The children each chose an item and used their robot voice to help the adult prepare the list.

We have had great fun playing with mud.  We made mud pies and also watered it down to make paint.  However, the highlight of the week, has been 'cleaning' a car.  The children managed to get as wet as the car, but we all enjoyed the experience.

On Friday, we all enjoyed a visit from Kerry and her lovely new baby.  The children were delighted to meet him, and his big brother was very proud and pleased to show him off.

The Acorn staff team would like to wish the children's daddy's a Happy Father's Day.  We hope that you like your cards and have a lovely day.
