Shaping Bright Futures Together

My Granny is a Pirate

This week we have focused on revisiting our favourite songs and play activities of the year, and had a great deal of fun in the process!  The week started with a wonderful trip to All Things Wild, where staff, parents, grandparents and children all had chance to spend valuable time together enjoying everything that is on offer there.

On Wednesday, we joined the rest of the school on the meadow to take part in the Whole School Walk.  Some of our older children played happily with their Buddies, others with their siblings and friends, and some were busy hunting for grasshoppers and ladybirds. We would like to thank Mrs Stephenson, who joined us for the event.

On Thursday, to mark the end of the year, we had a Pirate Party primarily for the children that will moving into Recpetion Class.  We had a great time decorating and eating cakes, doing a treasure hunt, and musical statures.  We also tested glilders and helicopters and had a lovely time flying them across the school field.

The Acorn team have had a wonderful year with the children and feel very privileged to have watched them grown and mature.  We will, very much, miss those that are leaving us but look forward to seeing our younger children and  those moving into Holly Class in September.  We would like to wish you all a very happy summer holiday!
