Ashton Under Hill First School

Shaping Bright Futures Together

Easter Message from the Chair of Governors

Dear children, parents, staff and friends of Ashton under Hill First School,

As we come to the end of another busy and joyful term, I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone in our school community for the energy, kindness and commitment you bring to our wonderful school.

This term has once again shown what makes Ashton under Hill First School such a special place. Our children continue to thrive—embracing challenges with a “can do” spirit, showing resilience worthy of Snowball the not-yet-yeti, and supporting one another with compassion and friendship. Our staff have worked tirelessly to nurture curiosity and confidence, always keeping wellbeing and kindness at the heart of every learning experience. And our families and wider community have continued to stand alongside us, offering support, encouragement and enthusiasm in the many events and activities that enrich school life.

Easter is a time that invites us to pause, reflect and celebrate new beginnings. As spring arrives in our beautiful village and the countryside around us bursts into life, it reminds us of the joy of learning, growth and fresh starts—values that sit right at the centre of our school’s mission to “shape bright futures together”.

On behalf of the Governing Body, I wish all our families a peaceful and happy Easter break. May it be filled with rest, sunshine, and plenty of time with loved ones. We look forward to welcoming everyone back after the holiday, refreshed and ready for an exciting summer term ahead.

Warmest wishes, Geoff Mills
