Shaping Bright Futures Together

A Snowy Day

A storm blew in at the beginning of the week, bringing snow with it.  What a treat for the children who were in school on Monday, as they investigated the playground and playing field. This inspired us to make snow scene pictures with some corn puff packaging and talk about snow 'melting' and 'freezing'.

On Tuesday, we learnt about St Andrews Day and on Wednesday we started  to think about our preparations for Christmas.  An advent calendar appeared in our room and we  excitedly wait to see whose name will come out next and receive a chocolate.  We are continuing to practise our song for the nativity and have been learning the story behind it.

We joined Holly Class children for Forest School.  We visited the meadow and had great fun playing under the oak tree, playing imaginary games, spotting different feathers and running down the hill.
