Year 4 and 5 Football Tournament

On the 28th April 2022, some year 4 and 5 pupils went to a football tournament at Evesham United Football Club. There were 2 teams, Ashton 1 and Ashton 2 and our coaches were Mr Begley and Mr. Key. Mr. and Mrs. Jones also came for support.

As it was 6-a-side we had 2 subs who were switched throughout the games. Ashton 1 had a navy and light blue kit and did so well they got into the finals! Ashton 2 had a yellow and blue kit and scored lots of amazing goals but unfortunately didn’t make into the finals. They came runners up in their league by goal difference!

The final was between Ashton 1 vs Elmley, it was a nail-biting match and in the end it was a draw, 1-1. We are sharing the trophy with Elmley.

We are very proud of both of our teams and thankful for everybody’s help especially our two coaches.
