Eco - Celebrating the Amazon Rainforest

Following a recent trip to Peru, Mrs Shiels was able to share some of the highlights of her adventure as the whole school joined together to celebrate the wonder and awe of the Amazon rainforest. Together we found out about some of the incredible flora and forna that adorn the landscape.  Acorn and Reception class worked together to make a beautiful picture of a parrot.  KS1 worked together to form the artwork for a a corridor wall display and KS2 worked together to produce a book with fact files about some of the incredible animals that live there.  We concluded that the Amazon rainforest is a wonderful habitat that needs preserving for both environmental and aesthetic reasons.
