A Very Happy Easter

We have had lots of fun this week in the lead up to Easter.  The story told us about the Christian basis of the festival.  We then talked about Easter celebrations.  We did a treasure hunt, an Easter egg hunt, egg and spoon races and made cards and decorations.  We learnt the 'Hot Cross Buns' song and enjoyed hopping to the 'See the Little Bunnies Sleeping' song!  Our maths focused on counting eggs into egg boxes and and recreating patterned eggs.

The whole school did a litter pick and we discovered a huge scattering of old paper in the quiet area, that had mysteriously appeared!  The children used the pickers, with great skill, to collect the mess.  We also had a campfire, in which we filled ice cream cones with marshmallows, chocolate and raisins, and melted them ....... what a treat!
