Shaping Bright Futures Together

25 Holly Class Week beginning 19th May

It has been science week in school this week and it has been full of excitement for the children in Holly class! Each day we have done a little bit of science, we have learnt new facts and taken part in some super experiments. On Wednesday the children all took part in an Eco Afternoon and on Thursday the children worked in their house groups for a whizz bang science afternoon of experiments and demonstrations! On Friday we became physicists and designed and created paper aeroplanes to take part in a whole school competition. The children have been keeping a diary of everything that has happened and so this week they are going to tell you about what we have been busy doing...

Monday - 'Dear Diary, On Monday we did a experiment. We put tissue in coloured water. The colours mix.'

Tuesday - 'Dear Diary, At forest school we went on a bug hunt. First we got mud and feathers in a pot. I found a snail and a worm in the soil.'

Wednesday - 'Dear Diary, We put skittles on a plate. Then we did a different experiment cutting a bottle  putting a sock on it dipping it on washing up liquid. Then you blow in the bottle. It was the best.'

Thursday - 'Dear Diary, Today we made a bubble snake. We put a sock on a bottle it was amazing.'

Friday - 'Dear Diary, Yesterday we did lots of experiments! My favourite was the growing rainbows because we got to colouring and we put it in the water. This afternoon we are going to make paper aeroplanes. I am so excited!'
