Shaping Bright Futures Together

Whatever Next!

Thank you to our parents who have put such lovely entries into their children's Learning Journey Books.  It is so enjoyable to have glimpses into our children's home lives and they take great pride in showing their friends what they have been doing.

We have started the half term with a visit to the moon.  Inspired by the story 'Whatever Next' we have been practising counting down from 5 and zooming off into space (albeit with a colander on our head, wellies on our feet and sitting in a box)! We have made our own planets, by choosing and mixing paint, found out some facts about the moon and watched the moon landings.  We have also listened to robot instructions, having to decipher key words e.g. "Can you put the alien on the t-a-b-le?"

Bore da! On Wednesday, we learnt about St David's day, finding out about some Welsh traditions and making either a Welsh dragon or a daffodil.  On Friday, our World Book Day, was when our children came to school in some lovely costumes.  We heard some lovely stories and enjoyed using them in our imaginative play.
