Shaping Bright Futures Together

The Woolly Bear Caterpillar

The story of the Woolly Bear Caterpillar has taught us about 4 native moths and their life cycles.  This is even more exciting because we had actually found the very strange looking Puss Moth Caterpillar (featured in the book) in the playground last week.  We have found out the difference between moths and caterpillars and created our own symmetrical moths.  We have also been thinking about how things grow and change and have measured ourselves...... we have all grown a lot!

We have been practising our concentration and turn taking by playing some simple card games, and trying to keep cool in the playground by throwing, catching and squeezing wet sponges.  We have also had great fun making pretend ice creams, with sprinkles and sauce out of shaving foam, petals and paint!
