Shaping Bright Futures Together

My Family, Your Family

This week, we have been celebrating our families.  Each child has brought in a photo of their family and we have counted how many people live in each household. Our families are all different, but we love them all very much.

We have further been practising our counting by taking part in 'Marathon Kids'.  Each morning, we have ran around the track and collected bands as we have gone. We have then counted the bands and recorded the amount, so that they can be added to the school's total.

Work has started on making a house for our outdoor area, with children printing bricks, and roller painting the internal walls. Curtains have been added today and the plan is to have a roof before it is played with next week.  The children have also started work on a paper bag house, with lollipop families to live inside.

We had a special visit from Dr Lizzie Crowther, who came to tell us all about her work and came to do an examination on Big Elephant who was feeling poorly!  Thank you very much for coming to see us, we all found it very interesting and will be a little less worried about our next visit to the Doctor's surgery.
