18 March Friday Family Assembly
After our governors meeting on Tuesday, hearing about the stresses of assessments and the overload of paperwork for this year’s KS1 assessments and tests, it was a breath of fresh air to attend family assembly this morning. Well done staff for continuing to motivate the pupils with so much creativity. Such varied activities in KS2 with the science work related to water experiments and the art work produced after listening to the music ‘The Blue Danube’.
In YR1/YR2 fantastic art work from looking at Van Gogh’s painting of ‘The Starry Night’ and Reception/ YR1 being praised for adapting to their different friendship groups. The children are really benefitting from emphasis on ‘What makes a successful learner’. Using such language as perseverance, keep trying, you can do it!
Well done everyone.
