Shaping Bright Futures Together

We're All Wonders

Our focus this week has been on learning about our similarities and differences.  We have been using mirrors to look at our faces and discover what colour hair and eyes we have.  We have then painted a picture of ourselves to make a class tableau on our board.

The work that we have done on making friends and listening skills is beginning to pay off.  This week, we have been playing Mr Potato Head and reverse Jenga (where the children have to build a tower), and we have all sat patiently, waiting turns and listening to instructions.   These skills are beginning to spill out into our general play, where there has been a lot more sharing and children beginning to play together.

Work is progressing well on our Harvest Song, with some children knowing the words better than Mrs Shiels!  We are looking forward to being able to show the rest of the school during the Harvest Festival assembly (hopefully).

We would like to thank our Prince Henry's student for volunteering in class for 3 days.  She has been a very helpful and valued addition to the team.  Thank you!
