Shaping Bright Futures Together

The Rainbow Fish

Our story this week, The Rainbow Fish, has reminded us how happy good friendships make us feel.  Over the year,  these relationships have really developed and our Nursery 2 children will leave the class having built strong bonds, some of which may last a lifetime.

We have created some lovely fish pictures, decorated with multi-coloured scales, printed using celery! Then we made a giant fish picture, using things from our dressing up basket. We used our robot voices to  play an I-spy colour game and practised our knowledge of numerals to order them from 1 -10.

We have been fascinated by bubbles and enjoyed watching them come out of the machine; we have caught and popped them, and chased them as they flew around the playground.  We then tried to blow our own bubbles, using soap, water and our hands.  This proved tricky, so the next day, we used different items to make bubble blowers i.e. cookie cutters, paperclips, pipe cleaners etc.  We had a mixture of results and soon found out that the smaller cookie cutters made the most effective bubbles.

There was also a special letter from the King, thanking us for his Coronation card. We were absolutely delighted.
