Shaping Bright Futures Together

Key Stage 2 Sports Day

The sun shone down on us for sports day and gave us extra solar fuel for our races.

Today the children competed in the track events representing their houses in order to win the Sports Day Cup. They all ran with gusto and were very motivated to win points for their team. They also did a great job of supporting each other too.

The races they took part in were:
  • 100 m sprint
  • Sack race
  • Egg and spoon
  • Hurdles
  • Hoop skip
  • Cross country
  • House relay

We even had time for a Year 5 parents egg and spoon race!

Ruby House were the overall winners but it was a very close run competition.

Last week we did field events and the children choose to compete in either the shot put or javelin and the high or the long jump.

They were very exciting events and several school records were broken by the Year 4 and 5 girls.
