Shaping Bright Futures Together

Owl Babies

It has been Anti Bullying week and we have talked about how important it is to be kind to each other.  We started the week wearing odd socks.  We chatted about why we had chosen certain socks and how they are all different, even though they are all still socks. Later on in the week, we spent some time with Holly Class thinking about our 'feelings' and talked about some of the emotions we may feel in a day.

We have followed this in pre-school with a kindness chart.  Harvey the mouse has been watching the children play and will choose who he feels will look after him well.  He has decided that he would like to go and stay for a weekend with one of the children.

We have also read 'Owl Babies' and looked at the stars in the sky.  We took inspiration from Van Gogh's 'Starry Night' and started to make our own version of it. We have been practising our mark making, painting with water and drawing in shaving foam. We have also been learning how to play snap and joined the Reception children for Forest School activities on the field.
