Following on from last week’s mystery of the huge nest with the golden egg that we found at forest school, the children suggested that this might be linked to the chicken that Jack (of the beanstalk fame) stole from the giant.
Look what fun we have had this week with Acorn preschool and reception children investigating the windy weather and flying carrier bag kites.
We have learnt about when chocolate first came to Britain and the explorers who brought it back. We have investigated the life of John Cadbury and his famous chocolate. Today, we went on a walk around the village and it was lovely to see some of the children from our classes who we waved to through the window.
This week, the Mrs T bubble have been continuing with our theme of chocolate. We have practised our measuring skills and calculated the perimeter of chocolate bars. We have also taken a daily walk and spotted a Red Kite as we were crossing the road outside of school. With Mrs Thornton, we have been playing rounders and taking part in the Virtual School Games challenge. As part of our chocolate topic, we have described Augustus Gloop who got sucked up a pipe in the chocolate factory.
