Governor visit on 24th June
I paid a very enjoyable visit to school on Wednesday morning to evaluate the promotion of ‘Successful learner’ concept which was introduced to pupils at the beginning of the academic year as part of the School Development Plan. After talking to pupils from each year group, I was delighted to find that the pupils of Ashton are armed with very important learning skills for, not only when they go up to middle school but also for life!I also studied the impact of the Teacher Assistants in Ashton. I wanted to establish the extent and ways in which TAs supported pupils directly and indirectly through administrative and other support for the teachers, thereby having a direct role in pupils’ learning. Special thanks to all TAs who are invaluable in their support and have a very positive effect, emotionally and academically on our pupils.
