We are all in the midst of an unprecedented event that will go down in history. Education provision & care has changed overnight. I hope you are recording the experience & memories in your own way – maybe with drawings, photos, a journal or diary.
As well as continuing with supporting the school and sticking to urgent & essential Governor business only, my personal experience of lockdown has meant new routines and priorities. Of course, as for yourselves, all carried out in accordance with the public health guidelines for hygiene & social distancing.
I have been revisiting old hobbies & interests, encouraging my children with their home schooling & University reading and taking part in some dubious challenges with my family (oh & lots of playing with the puppy).
I have read books, listened to podcasts, finished jigsaw puzzles, done some lovely colouring, ate home baked cakes, aced the handstand T Shirt challenge, danced the Blinding Lights challenge, but most importantly have been clocking up the kilometres in my garden for Mrs Thornton & our Marathon to Tokyo!
Please keep up your spirits, own interests, reading, times tables & exercise. Throughout please keep in touch by email with your teachers and school friends and share your news, feelings & learning. You may just inspire others to try something new or put a smile on someone’s face and of course get something back in return.
Do not hesitate to contact the school if you are in need of additional support or resources and we continue to welcome constructive ideas on ways in which to improve our communications & our overall provision.
Governors send their deepest gratitude to all the staff and we wish all our staff and Ashton families well.
Thanking you for your support
