Our Remembrance Day Assembly
On Monday 11 th November we invited members of the local community to join us in school for a special Remembrance Day assembly.
Connor from Acorn Class wrote the following :
“We went into the hall to remember the soldiers who went to war. We heard the trumpet from the back. We saw the flag. We all wore a poppy.”
After the assembly , we had two very special visitors to Acorn class. Mr Green talked to us about the standard which he carries, about his smart uniform and why his boots were so shiny and Mr Butler gave a special performance on his flugel horn and told us about the special music which he had played at the service. We were all fascinated!
