Special Week
What a fantastic week! It is always a joy to learn about the pupils’ experience in the school, but this week is a special one for me…
I had several visits to the school this week which included a chat with the School Council. What a pleasure it was! They were all very excited and proud to talk about their rich activities. They couldn’t express enough how they enjoy life at Ashton through their very creative learning. We hear so much in the press nowadays how the curriculum changes affects the pupils negatively. This is certainly the not the case at Ashton!
I was very impressed with the visits the KS1children made this week to St Stephen’s C of E First School and the Redditch Mosque. As part of the School Development Plan, Ashton is very committed to enrich the curriculum and widen children’s horizons through different cultures and beliefs. It once again shows the commitment of the team to fulfil this plan to teach the children to respect and appreciate cultural diversity.
Thank you all!
