Willow - Assessment Week and Litter Picking!

The children have been hard at work completing their in class assessments this week and we would like to congratulate them for all their concentration and effort they have put in.

In Art, the children learned how to do a colour wash and produced a Mother's day card using water colours.

We have been learning about parts of a flower in Science and they have produced a picture of a flower for their card. - We hope you like them!

In maths this week the Year 3's have been starting to measure mass and the Year 4's have been continuing the topic of decimals and fractions and have been finding tenths on a number line.

Swimming was definitely the highlight of the week and the children really enjoyed jumping in the pool in this glorious weather and preparing for the swimming gala in a couple of weeks time.

On Friday, we cared for our environment and took part in a whole school litter pick.  It was amazing how much litter we found and we really enjoyed doing something for a good cause outside in the sunshine! We even found a plastic wrapper that was 16 years old!

We hope you all have a lovely, sunny weekend!
