Shaping Bright Futures Together

Year 3 and 4 Rugby Tournament

Tag Rugby Tournament Wednesday 20th October

On Wednesday a group of children from Willow Class took part in a tag rugby tournament at Bredon Star RFC.

Willow Class, along with Holly Class, have enjoyed a term of Rugby coaching with Dave of Worcester Warriors and this tournament was a chance for some of them to compete in a friendly, non-competitive event, and to put their new found skills into practice ! The aim was to encourage children who do not currently play rugby out of school to take up the sport.

Children competed against Overbury and Eckington and played each school twice, a total of 4 games throughout the afternoon. We won 3 out of 4 games and the children all displayed excellent skills while trying their very hardest to play together as a team.

Several of the boys scored a Try whilst the girls displayed excellent defensive skills and all the team grew in confidence as the afternoon went on. A huge well done to every single member of our team for their great performance and teamwork.

A great afternoon was had by all and a big thank you to Dave for organising the event and for coming into school to coach.
